[Starbound] The adventure of Emma gin [part 2]

I ran outside as quickly as I can. Once I reach it hit me, I thought that we can fight these things. but I was never been so wrong in my entire life. this thing is huge, destroying the whole city, maybe even the whole planet. I stood there out of panic then my friend pulled me, we ran toward our ship, I was heading to mine, while Levi ran to his. once I was inside I quickly start the ship and escape the planet, I didn`t know what happened to Levi, but when I'm about to leave the atmosphere, something hit the ship, knocking me unconscious from the impact.

When I woke up, I found myself, stranded in space with the ship barely working, I've checked that only the ship A.I. or S.A.I.L (Ship-based Artificial Intelligence Lattice)

"Sail, status. " I said

"status, The ship thrusters are currently offline. Ship teleportation system functioning correctly.Currently, only the planet below is accessible"

I talk to myself "I can`t really to contact Levi since the long range comm is down, and I need to fix my ship A.S.A.P." I need to beam down to the planet, I opened the storage take out a flashlight and my old sword to protect myself. "Sail. Beam me down, " I said. I was beamed down to the planet below and I find myself in a luscious planet covered with Trees Grass and plants covering almost everything, I walk through the planet then I suddenly found a mysterious gate that Sail told me to collect some core fragments inside the planet, so I mined the planet looking for those fragments and I finally found enough. a portal appears in the middle of the gate, having no choice I went inside in hope that someone can fix my ship.

Entering the portal I arrived at a place called "outpost" then someone contacted me, I was asked to go to the end of the outpost and she told me she was a protector. when I arrived I saw a gigantic door underneath, I saw someone on a hover chair and she introduced herself.

[Starbound] The adventure of Emma gin [Part 1]

This story is based on A video games called Starbound

Us humans, despite our young race, us humans are a highly advanced species that progressed quickly, both socially and technologically. We human were the first of the major race to start research and space travel, due to the high amount of alien that visits the earth, our expansion in the star are painfully low, that’s why the human decide to create The Terrene protectorate as a universal peacemaker organization, But it was destroyed by the ruin. The Ruin is a giant living organism that destroys everything it touches.

and this is my story.

my name is Emma Gin, a human. I joined the academy to become a protector, as the name calls it, to protect the galaxy. It started today, the day where the earth was destroyed. Today is my day, today is my graduation day from the protector academy. on that day I was woken up from my sleep or I like to call it my only free time, by my friend Levi, he's a slightly annoying avian with a strong will that sometimes. keep me alive through the academy. I'd like to call him my partner. anyway, continue with the story, Levi woke me up because I was late for the ceremony.
"GIN, WAKE UP !! WE'RE LATE FOR THE CEREMONY" he shouted.
"WHAT ?! WHAT HAPPEN ?!" I answer with panic.
"WE'RE LATE!!" he answered.

I rushed to my locker and change into my uniform

"DON`T PEEK!" I shouted,
"I AM WHAT YOU CALLED A BIRD PERSON, I HAVE NO INTEREST IN YOU" he replied,
"I DON`T CARE, LOOK THE OTHER WAY DAMN IT" I continued
He turn his back and said "oh kluex please help me stay strong for today"

after I quickly change into my uniform, I ran outside grabbing Levi by the hand (maybe, practically dragged him) we ran in the corridor finally reaching the backstage of the stage, we went for the closest place to sit and listened to our headmaster giving the graduation speech. But I don`t fully remember all of it

"my fellow protectors... today we come together to witness the protectorate grow. For over 500 years we have stood proud here on earth drawing together races of all kinds in the name of peace.(refer to the human, apex (humanoid ape), glitch (robot sentient), Avian (bird-People), Floran (plant people) Hylotl (Fish-People) Novakid (gas humanoid)) our task: to protect our fellow beings; to support, house and educate those that seek our aid, and to foster accord between those that aspire to it.Today, in the name of peace, we welcome our newest compatriots, and present them each with our greatest tools.... the matter manipulator, a tool that can manipulate matter.....( i forgot about this part)". but the next thing I remembered was something grim.... the ground shook

 "Huh what was that ?" the headmaster said.

A purple tentacle burst out from everywhere, which one of them grab hold of the headmaster, held up high from the tentacle in her last effort she threw one of the matter manipulators to Levi, "you, graduate! take the manipulator and run! there's one more under the desk over there and get to safety!" she point to a direction
"Gin, let's go!" Levi said. we continue to run to the direction she's pointing I took the other manipulator then continue running to that direction trying to escape the tentacle.

[guild wars 2] Adventure of marigold [Part 2]

Chapter 2: The great jungle wurm

The screech draws our attention to the heart of the swamp. From the ground erupted a 300m tall wurm, a great wurm is worm-like creatures that bore through the ground with a Scale and hundreds or thousand of teeth on its mouth,  the wurm screech once more, drawing more adventurer attention to the wurm. While we ran toward the heart of the swamp we saw plenty of adventurers came and ready to fight. Guardians, warriors, rangers, Elementalist, engineers. Many have come to aid us in this battle then Gamarien shouts “If I fall today, my last breath will carry Ventari’s teachings, This abomination holds no sway over me.”

In the frontline, the warriors and guardians ran to its body to attack the wurm while the backline are preparing, the engineer set their turret to attack and defend, the rangers and rogue starting to shoot from afar, Haize increase her focus she continuous shot from afar and the Elementalist starting to chant their spell, meteor shower, rock starting to fall down from the sky hitting the wurm`s body. Then the wurm quickly whips around with its body hitting the frontline and knocking them back, I chant my spell “I am rain and ice! Healing rain” by that instant, cloud started to gather and rain the battlefield, healing everyone but the enemy. Energized by the rain, they return to the frontline charging ahead. Wounded by our attack the wurm screech, with its high-pitch sound more enemy came out from the rear, Nightmare hounds came from all sides, Caim notice 2 hounds run towards me, he yelled “marigold, lookout!!” once I heard I turn my back only to notice the hound was already next to me, in that moment one of the hound pounce on me and I quickly activate my cantrip (magic spell) “mist form” the cantrip morph me into an invulnerable vaporous mist for a short time, the one hound that pounce through my body then hit the ground and recovers. Still targeting me, they both attack me simultaneously from front and the back, preparing my next cantrip, Caim summon his golem to block the hounds on my back while the one on my front pounce on my face, I thought I was a goner, then a shout from behind “judge’s intervention” someone teleported in front of me, and burn the hound.

I said “a guardian ?!” continued “who are you ?”

“are you alright ?” he said. “Name’s Tosi”

“I’m fine. Wait, just Tosi ?” I answered
“We’re in a battle here are you crazy? who cares !” he replied

“FINE !” I replied

Scaring him away, the hound falls back to his safe range. Head goes low, preparing to howls to call his pack, I followed, “oh no you don`t” I quickly change my attunement to air and chant “the storm shall bend to my will ! GUST !” a strong wind push the hound disturbing him and made him fell, thunder strike down from the sky attacking the hound rendered him unconscious or maybe died, Tosi continued to the other hound that was distracted by caim’s golem. Then Tosi said “hey, necromancer” the caim continue “golem! charge!” the golem shout and start charging at the hound and knocking him down, Tosi continued by swinging his sword slashing the hound body repeatedly until the hound died. After the hound death Caim relax for a moment but suddenly the wurm whipped its body again but now that thing spew poisonous projectile, and a few of them coming our way, I haven`t realized until it almost hit me, but Tosi already cast his spell for me, “wall of reflection !, necromancer, shroud up !” the he use his shield of absorption for himself while Caim activates his death shroud for him helping him survive from the projectile. Our little battle against some hounds then Aruvial called us to focus on the big one. We continue our war against the wurm and with a final attack from everyone the wurm let out a stronger screech than before, and retreat to the ground.

The battle has won. luckily Gamien reports that no one died during the fight. I say my thanks to Tosi. and he replied with "next time, be more careful mari" I was shocked how did he know my name, "how did you know my name ?" calmly I ask. "we haven`t properly introduced yet, my name is Tosi, I was with Barigold last weeks, He sends his regard and asks you to meet him at the heart of the magguma jungle. I want to join him but he said I wasn`t strong enough, so he instructed me to join you instead and catch up to him.

The heart of the magguma jungle, we'll catch up to you, brother.

Personal statement

My name is Rizky Muhammad Widiyana, you can call me Rizky. I'm from Jakarta. I'm currently studying at BINUS University and took English department as my major and I choose English department because I enjoyed it. I first learned English when I was in elementary school. I went to a private school which is located in Jakarta. The fact is, English is my favorite subject since I was in elementary school. Why ? Because I enjoyed it. The reason I chose English department as my major because I want to be an English teacher.

after I graduated from my senior high school at hang tuah, I chose UPI (Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia or Indonesian education university) Through a test. the next day of the test, the result was that I didn`t pass the test. then I would choose the next thing I know, BINUS university, which is also my sister's college.

and now, I'm officially a binusian and I made some new friend here, of course, some friend come and go but they're kind, nice and (some) willing to help me if I didn`t understand in my subject. I realized that learning English can be both fun and challenging (mostly are challenging). I love studying english literature, I find it really fun to study it, and some are hard to understand, I won`t get technical here but some are hard, but I wouldn`t miss it for the world.

I'm currently in my 4th semester now. I chose "English as a second language" or you can call it "teaching" as my streaming. why ? because I wanted to, of course, i also learned in my college year that I also want to be a story writer i those games like lore maker or something, because I really love games, video games, and table top games, and much more. for my future, I don`t have many plans for it, but my target is to get my dream job. to be a teacher (or story maker).

The story is taken from my own experience and adaptation from the online video game Guild wars 2

The adventure of marigold

Chapter 1 : A sign of darkness

My name is Marigold Himl, a sylvari, a plant-like race that was awakened from the pale tree, a gigantic sentient tree which is the mother of all sylvaris and whose body forms the basis of our city, The grove. The pale tree awakened me during the cycle of night and the most important thing the ventari teaches me is “all things have a right to grow”. I am an Elementalist, I study all the elements, I wear a water gem that symbolizes my love of water and this is my story.

It was just an ordinary day on adventure with my team, Caim neth the necromancer, master of the dark arts, Aruviel Deeu the Rogue, trickery and foul play are his toy and Heize storm the archer, a marksmanship of the highest quality and her owl pet, it was a very simple mission, escort Gamarien as he scouts the wychmire swamp to find a source of darkness and head back to the camp. But the mission has taken a dark turn. In the swamp, a dark terrible creature has emerged, in the outskirts of the swamp a large blighted growth as tall a husk of the tree that was contaminated by the darkness, show up behind haize storm. “Everyone, stand ready!” said Caim neth while summoning his minions to distract the monster, Haize dashes towards me, increasing the range between her and the monster and start shooting from afar. Then I chant my earth spell “I channel rock and soil! Supportive earth! Rock armor!” the earth near the minion start to rumble and block the enemy attack. While we distract the monster Aruviel vanish and lurk inside the darkness and attack, with his enchanted dagger he strikes a critical blow from the rear dealing severe damage and weakens the monster.

Haize noticed a condensed darkness in its head, assuming it’s the monster weakness she takes a steady aim and shot the condensed darkness. Fractured but not destroyed, she whistles, commanding her owl to finish the job. I attune my element to air then quickly chat my spell “Element of the wind, heed me! Windborne speed!”, a speed enhancing spell I placed to the owl with its devastating speed boost and the owl’s momentum from the sky shattered the condensed darkness in its head and release the monster from the darkness and rest his body. The battle has been won by us. But, when we thought that it was the end, a deafening screech echoes through the swamp.
